Bluebank Blueberry & Emu Farm  is about 45 minutes drive from New Zealand's capital - Wellington - and less than 10  minutes north from Upper Hutt City in the picturesque Akatarawa Valley   Easy Access:  The access is good and coaches should find it wide enough to bring their charges to the  shop front.   Things you can do:  Pick Your Own PYO organic blueberries. Have a close encounter of the "emu" kind or  just browse in the shop for . blueberries, emu skin care products, blueberry jam, fudge,  pottery and hand made jewellery, cards and crafts, all created by the valley locals.   We keep an extensive range of Fernlea Pottery, by potter Kathy Palenski, dinner sets to  plant pots. Groups are welcome by arrangement and guided tours are provided.   In our shop:   •  Fresh Blueberries from January till April   •  Emu oil & skin care products   •  Pottery - dinner sets to plant pots   •  Jewellery and local hand made crafts   •  Local honey   •  Blueberry farm fudge and Jam   •  Blueberry Dairy Free ice pops   •  Tea, coffee and cold drinks  We will be open on Wednesday to Sunday midday until 5pm.   Picking is slow due to gales and lack of hot weather.  The late crop is about two weeks away and should last through to Easter.
