The Akatarawa road is tarsealed all the way and is a beautiful scenic drive through native  bush. Upper Hutt to Waikanae is 37Kms   Akatarawa Valley  Drive down the beautiful, peaceful Akatarawa Valley linking the Upper Hutt Valley with the Kapati  Coast. Visit the numerous attractions ranging from original art and crafts, stunning gardens,  blueberries and emus to a unique wildlife attraction.
